OMG OMG OMG....... I've never felt happier for a couple who's getting married. SUMIKO TAN is getting married ~~~ !!! who is she? She is one of the most influential and inspirational writers of singpaore press.
Sumiko Tan is well known among readers as a strong willed career women with a mixed heritage (dad chinese, mum jap) and has been writing for Straits Times from 1993 or 4, can't really remember. I look fowrard to her columns every sunday and they nv fail to catch my heart. Its so "womenhood" . hahahahaz.. if there even is such a word.
Her Junior College crush met up with her last July and they have been going out, as friends. I think i'm really super lucky. I manage to read all the important columns she wrote. The first time she introduced him (his name is Hurricane to her cuz he looks like one of someone she knows or something.. ) as her JC crush, i read it. The next colum was she wrote described wad happened between them and wad is happening to them now. I managed to read the one she wrote about her birthday, in which she was alone and suddenly a cake was sent to her, by him and his daugher (Hurricane was married before and he has a 5 yr old daughter from that marriage) . and they celebrated through skype.
and when i came home today, i saw the front page of LIFE, a big "LOVE AND MARRIAGE" caught me. I don't know wad me go over and read cuz i usually find it cliche. AND IT WAS HER!!!! omg!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahz..
can you imagine wad they went through? They were JC friends, she likes him and they went out once on a horrible date. Both were as good as mutes. then they nv talk to each other again. He met a girl and they got married, had a daughter. She carried on with her life, became one of the most popular columnist, writing abt her life stories every so sincere and honest with all her readers. When he got a divorce and came back (he was in wales all along) and he wanted to contact 2 of his ex girlfriends but couldn't get the contact of the other one. she became his second choice. hahahahahaahz... they met up, became more comfortable as both have matured along the way. They met up as old long friends and wasn't as awkward as before. and within one year, they are going to get married.
OMG. i can literally memorise their story.. hahahahahahz.. i'm sure all her readers will be so happy for her. she will resume her column in sept when she comes back. I want to email her!!! and congratulate her. I feel like i've known her for like 10 years already. How heartwarming is that. And the best part is? She's getting married at the age of 46. 46!!!! she waited half her life for this happiness...... she sure deserves it more than anyone else.. =)
ok. enough of her. hahahaahz.. this week in summary, bought 3 books at a SUPER SUPER discounted price.
1) Jeffery Deaver's at $12
2) Mary Higgins Clark at $12
Both of the above was at city link's MPH where all books are going at an awesome 90% off.
3) Eclipse at $1.59.
hahahahahahz.. i had a $20 voucher from kor kor. heee... was contemplating between the set and individual book, got one book at the end.
Bought a charles and Keith shoe at $13 ++, cuz of another voucher.
watched Karate Kid with mummy at plaza sing. I know IP man is way better, but i ddn't catch both (and there's a third coming out. i think if i don't watch that this time, i'm seriously thinking of killing myself), so Karate Kid will suffice for me. hahaha.z. can i say jaden is hot? omg. i sound pedophilic. i shall say he's super cute. omg....... hahahaahahz.. nice show! super nice.
weekends gonna be busy for the next few weeks. omg....... till then ~

HELLO EVERYBARDY. . . .
hahahahaz.. had a fufilling week.
met up for peili's birthday at my favourite korean rstn. had a hard time trying to tell everyone the location, but we got there at the end. walked over to KOI for our favourite green tea passion aloe vera pearl tea!!!! weeeeeeeeeeee.... so happie. although we left for home quite early, cuz we all are sooooo tired, we still had fun. KEL! PASS YOUR PASSPORT DETAILS TO MICHELLE!!!! . hahahahahaz..
on fri, ting and i met up with edwin and jasmine. went for edwin's favourite pepper lunch all the way at shaw towers or shaw plaza, the one at orchard. at first wanted to sing K at partyworld, but it was FREAKING ex. so we choose drinks instead. after pepper lunch, we headed down to the place where jasmine's friend worked. EM studio (its a chill out place) at Gallery Hotel, just right down clarke quay. shared 2 jugs of carlsberg and had one watermelon martini myself. wah... the watermelon martini is very refreshing! and its something i've not seen before. besides lychee, choya martinis and stuff. jasmine realised that we only meet up once a year, in fact. so long rite. hahahahz.. but seriously, i'm not really like super close to jasmine or edwin for that matter. but i just find joy in chilling out with them. edwin is crazy.. i dunno how can he be so entertaining. hahahahahaz... its never boring with him in the group.
sat went out again, met up with yh, ann, cs, jx, chee wee, boss and ling li. went down to creation again. hahahahaz.. its like our favourite hang out place. i can't seem to get enough of either their laksa cream pasta or thai cream pasta. seriously. its like WOAH. yeah.. then thinking of an after dinner activiy, and yh suggested playnation at Prinsep street. its this place where its something like MINDS cafe, but other than board games, there's WII, XBOX and console games for you to play. we paid $14.90 for 2 hrs on a sat night. i won't say its ex, cuz its a weekend. and thank god we mangaed to get a room. hahahaz.. i was like expecting full house or something. played 4 games. BANDHERO, Pacman, ravying rabbits and mario kart. hahahaha.z. i enjoyed bandhero but i kinda suck at it. hahahaz.. i tried the drum, cuz i'm intending to learn drum for real, and decided to get a hang of it. not easy, i must say. but i'm getting the hang of it.*who wants to pei me practice drum???? *. hahaz. the whole night was amazing, we were screaming (or rather, i was the only hurling vulgarities at the guys cuz they sibei dun give me face in the games. hahahaz.. ), sabo-ing each other, playing stupid (and its like super stupid) games blah blah... hahahaz.. now my arms ache from all the shaking. stupid lah. hahahaz.. i finally understand how kimberry feels. KIM! NEXT TIME GO YOUR HOUSE PLAY WII!!! =)
today is sunday, i've bee sitting in front of the com since 11pm, after lunch. now the time is 6.30 pm. i've finished watching down with love. ok, not too bad. and i've just finished the 1st epi of bad family. doubt anyone has heard of it before. its a 2006 drama, which my teacher intro-ed me. hilarious show.
i think i've matured a lot in my thinking over the past few years, especially during and after cookie museum. they taught me a lot about analytical thinking, looking at situations, lateral thinking blah blah.. and i dare to say, that i dun get angry over trival matters as often as i was in poly. but something made me pissed like the way i was or even more than the way i was in poly. i couldn't help the words used on the phone with the people i was complaining to. i feel that everyone should have a clear perspective on wad the situation is. and sometimes, when people drop hints, you should be smart or street wise enough to pick it up. and as our years of friendship grow by, don't take things for granted as though i'm invisible. yes, i may be ok with it in the past, but i think that we're too comfortable with each other to the extent that you think i can read your mind. NO, i can't. i need you to talk to me, i need you to tell me. you konw how its a viscious cycle? let me list an example.
if I does something to Y, and Y doesn't like it; Y keeps quiet and do nothing about it cuz Y thinks that I and Y are very close, so Y can control. I thinks that Y is ok with it cuz Y doesn't talk abt it and so I does it more and more often. Y doens't know how to talk abt it so Y keeps quiet and things just gets worse, isn't it? complicated huh. in a nutshell, please have a little bit of sensitivty to other people's role in the friendship/relationship. you can't just assume i know, or i think the way you think, you have to ask, and be MUCH more sensitive to stuff like that. its just getting overboard.

TGI(was)F!!!
had a good friday night since ages ago. had a good dinner at waruku, walked all the way to Marina Bay Sands and see the hotel, casino and stuff, hitched a ride back to esplanade and continued the night at mac @ suntec. =)
why am i up so early? its 9am on a saturday. because jay chou added new seats to his concert. being a concert freak this year, ting and i woke up so early to try to get tickets. 2 things got me pissed. the sale of tickets was yesterday, not today like wad mypaper reported. 2ndly, the new seats are RESTRICTED/OBSTRUCTED seats. like why the hell would i pay $168 if i can't see shit? [think this is where the comic strip des and i drew comes in]. oh well, there are seats available, of course. left $168 and $198. but we cancelled the order. sian. there goes the last hope ~
speaking abt concert freak, i think my aim this yr is to chiong as many concerts as possible? izzit me or just coincidentally, this yr has the most concerts of all. xiao zhu, jay, abba, the berlin something philharmonic, and its only past half a year. i'm going to the ABBA one with my mum. xiao zhu went, jay not going, berlin one . . . . . . . . hmmmmmm . . . . . . . . thinking abt it. ~
all my guy friends are going to ORD soon . or some already have. and some still have a long way to go. anyway, 大家辛苦了 !
